Another fantastic experience, great suite at an amazing price definitely stay again

Room (300) was red hot even without heating on, both windows open all night listening to the traffic isn't ideal. The towel rail on full whack made the tiny shower room way too hot, possibly the cause of the whole room being too hot. The evening meal (i ordered steak) looked anemic and to be fair to the chef he/she probably would have struggled to cook such a thin steak anything but well done but could have at least made it hot (I did ask for it medium rare), i asked for coffee with my meal to be told we only have the coffee machine on at breakfast! Speaking of breakfast, cold sausage and bacon, black pudding and not much else on the hot plate, only a few bits left when I went down to eat at 7.30, but the girl from the kitchen brought through a full bowl of beans, great they should be piping hot I thought but no, seems they forgot how to cook baked beans, still hard and only just warm (I think carrying them with a cloth to stop her burning her hands wasn't nessasary) So glad I didn't pay for the stay but I'll be telling my company not to send me there again shocking hotel that needs a good shake up in my opinion. Oh and having light switches built in to the headboard......interesting positioning, hidden behind the pillows (not sure if that's a fire risk or not)
Love love love! Fabulous hotel. Second stay here and will be back. Great room (105) . Polite and friendly staff make you feel welcome. One of my favourite hotels in Scotland.
