They helped me last year when my mental health was bad and I needed someone to talk to. I'm always seen when it's necessary and always treated well.
I was told I had to be on medication for 4 months but after looking at my medical history it said 12. Not only that but I was told I would be put on a waiting list for a minor surgery and also to speak to a mental health team, when trying to find out where I was on them I didn't appear anywhere on them. Awful gp, haven't help me at all.
1- They lost my blood result and i had to follow-up 2- passive aggressive receptionist 3- very old system 'restricted appoints" that can't accommodate anyone but the unemployed
The 'AskMyGP' app has been down on far too many occasions and despite a new version being out for a while Denburn have still not updated their website that allows patients to re-register and use the app.I am left with no choice but to call up the practice, listen to a ridiculously long message recommending patients to use said app that doesn't work and then explain all my symptoms to a very bored, annoyed and cold mannered receptionist that openly give the impression that they don't want to deal with you and you've interrupted them in the middle of something more important - to which, I would have loved to have saved us both the hassle of interacting from each other, but unfortunately when you don't update your systems there's not much choice!I won't say too much about the doctors, but if you are unfortunately bound to this practice because of postcode/whatever reason, I would recommend only Dr Alam and Dr McEwen. Few doctors these days will sit and willingly listen to you for 10 minutes let alone anything over.
From my experience, they were very nice with me and I get my appointments very quickly. Unfortunately, after 1 year still I don't know what I have and how I could treat my medical condition, because they don't take seriously the symptoms and they persist in thinking that you have something minor and give you the same prescription, even if this doesn't improve your health.
