Great service very nice car
Excellent and efficient service from the folk at Europcar in Aberdeen. Had to hire a van at short notice for a four-day family break and the people at Europcar were so helpful, from the lady on the telephone in the office to the guys who dropped off and collected the van from our home address. Great, hassle-free, service at a reasonable cost. Bicycles, luggage and family transported smoothly over the Cairn O' Mount and Lecht in a cool white transit. Happy family, happy customer :)
I arrived at the office on Broomhill Road, I explained that my driving licence had been lost enroute from kilwinning (nightmare!!).The "manager" was so condescending, her spoken English was poor, refused to allow me to take hire of the car!! I had already been in touch with the Dvla explained the situation they confirmed my licence and no penalty points. They said just get the car hire to contact us and we will confirm everything.I work for national organisation, they booked the car hire. I carry a full birth certificate in my travel documents,which I presented with full photographic ID in the form of work ID. No she wanted a passport or picture driving licence. I don't own a passport and obviously no licence!! I asked to speak to her manager so I could explain the situation. The female rang her manager on a mobile phone (what business don't have a landline), she gave her side of situation saying she had refused hire of the car. The area manager then obviously backs her up and would be breaking the law if they hired the car, even though the DVLA would confirm everything!! Thanks Europcar for allowing a upset female to be stranded in a strange city with no transport.I wasn't even offered a glass of water, got a courteous lift to my hotel, but had wait nearly 10 minutes for the drivers colleague. On the route to the hotel they proceeded to speak in their native polish language . The passenger colleague was helpful offering to take my 2 cases into my hotel. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!!AVOID THIS BRANCH!!
Poor customer service, little knowledge from the staff on who to contact and hoe to handle situations. The saving grace was the easy drop off.Be very careful when renting a car through these guys as they will sting you when you get there - insist you have not paid the full amount then lots of small print to baffle you. End up paying more for whatever reason.
