The Gordon Highlander's Museum is probably the best run museum I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff, who are all volunteers, couldn't be more helpful, informative and welcoming. In fact they could not do enough for us. A fantastic day out.
A recommended visit, interesting displays, army kit for all to try on, small but nice bright tea room - nice quality food. A reasonably priced attraction with priceless local history. A necessary addition to the Cities museums.
A great place to enjoy a quiet afternoon tea or a relaxing lunch. Excellent friendly service delivered by charming and engaging staff. I have never visited the Museum part but it looks interesting. Free private parking too. Super for families. Great value!
Attended for an all day meeting in the conference room. Excellent facilitator. Facilities very good for the meeting including presentation equipment. A buffet lunch was provided including soup, a variety of sandwiches, including vegetarian options. Crudites and cheeseboard too. The conference room was adequately heated and the delegates given a voucher for the museum. Would recommend for meetings.
My grandson and I enjoyed every moment of our visit which was made even better by having a guide. Anyone who served with the Gordon Highlanders must be very proud of their regimental history and grateful to have this museum dedicated to this typically brave British Army regiment. We finished off by having an excellent meal in the comfortable restaurant.
