Went during restaurant week 2019. Outstanding delicious food. Attentative staff.One down side is the chairs are a little uncomfortable but not enough to subtract a star. 5/5 would recommend
My wife had previously visited Howies and loved it, so we decided to travel up from Glasgow for our anniversary and I certainly wasn't disappointed.The restaurant is clean and welcoming, the staff attentive and friendly without being overbearing.The menu isn't extensive but plenty of choice, and the food is delicious.......beautifully presented and oh so tasty. The drinks menu certainly offer everything I needed and more.All in all Howies offered a beautiful dining experience.Would I recommend it? Absolutely, and I look forward to visiting again.
Tasty meals, the service was great, the portion should have been bigger. The steak was decent, unfortunately the salad did not meet my expectations. The dessert menu was fantastic. Great place if you want to try local cuisine.

Friendly welcome and great service. Deceptively bigger than view from the street, with tables generously separated for privacy. Hummus and olives aperitif recommended, with both fish dishes delicious. Unfortunately the liqueur coffees were lukewarm which was a shame given the quality of the ambience and the food - otherwise a straight 5/5. Well recommended.
